Gilbert Han worked on the LG Optimus 2.0 UI design - a one year long project. Han clearly defines his role in the team from the start so the audience knows what he contributed to the final product. He clearly identifies the challenge and his initial research. He explains how much research he conducted but only shows a very small amount of this phase with little description (confidentiality reasons?). What I liked about Han’s post is that he clearly defines and explains each phase. Han’s focus seems to be primarily showcasing the final end product. A link to the customer review is also provided at the end. In the last part of his post, he displays the evolution of LG’s Android UI in which shows the foundation he had helped build for the company.

An amazing post! Simon Pan reinvisioned and designed the "user pick up" aspect of the Uber app. He makes clear of the project brief from the very beginning. Pan explains in detail what impact the app has had while showing the evolution of the uber app screens. Identifies roles and goals. I really enjoyed reading his research phase. It was very thorough, clear, and beautifully written. He created visuals to help better understand the problem. Pan’s post is great in making sure every design direction he took is clear to the audience with why and how. In the end he showcases the end product and the impact of the redesign using percentage.

More text than visuals - but it’s still effective in how he wrote and organized it (text, color, hierarchy). As much as I wished there were more visuals, he actually tells a story of his design process which makes the audience follow his then and there thought process of his design direction coming together. He pitches in quite a few questions as design problems that needed attention throughout his post which keeps the audience interested and wanting to read more. He explains the tools he used throughout his design such as the tool for booking interviews - which can be very helpful for fellow designers. It was written in the designer language so I'm not quite sure if my grandma will understand his post. However, for fellow designers, they'll definitely appreciate him taking them through his very own head of where the design happens.
